The Villains took their new sound on a road trip this past weekend to log time at Avalon Sound Studios in Bethesda Maryland. The trip was two-fold in nature as they were taking part in a project called Face Up to Cancer (F.U. 2 Cancer for more zing), an organization benefiting the American Cancer Society. The project consists of in studio video and audio recordings to be packaged and sold with all proceeds going to the ACS. The tentative release date is early to mid April. Much more to follow on that.
While in studio, Ustream caught a glimpse of one of the new Villains song, Indie Girl, from the rehearsal session on friday. It’s pretty rough but you get the point.
The Villains hammered out new material for both the FU2Cancer project as well as for upcoming shows at The Note in West Chester on the 23rd, The Funkey Monkey Club in Wilmington, and Coyle’s RoxBox in Philadelphia, both on the 27th.
